Do You Have The Right Smoking Accessories?

When you are an avid cigar smoker, you need more than just quality stogies.  The accessories you use while smoking your stogies can positively or negatively impact your smoking experience.  If you are new to cigar smoking, you may not know what type of accessories are best.  Make a proactive effort to invest in the best cigar lighters, cutters, and humidors, if you want the best flavor and the purest smoking experience.  Without the right smoking accessories, there is no point to purchase expensive cigars that will lose their taste and freshness.

Cigar Humidors

Cigar humidors are not one-size-fits-all.  You will quickly learn this if you purchase the wrong type of cigar humidor for your collection.  When you are shopping for a cigar humidor, you will need to consider the type of cigars you smoke and how often you smoke.  If you are a casual smoker, you can make due with a humidor that holds up to 50 cigars.  If you smoke more often, you will need to invest in a larger humidor that holds up to 100 or 150 cigars.  The humidity range of a humidor is extremely important.  Humidors are designed to simulate the perfect environment for freshness.  Make sure your humidor offers the right range for your cigars if you want a fresh smoke each and every time.

Cigar Lighters

All experienced smokers understand that you cannot light a cigar with the standard Bic lighter.  Big lighters are fine for lighting cigarettes; however, they do not offer a powerful enough flame to light a cigar evenly.  The best cigar lighters are windproof.  When you are looking for a cigar lighter, look for a torch lighter that uses butane or propane fuel.  These gas fluids are odorless and will light your cigar at a high temperature without affecting the cigar's taste.

Cigar Cutters

Choosing a cigar cutter can be a difficult task if you do not know what to look for.  There are four different types of cutters you can choose from, including a puncher, scissors, a v-cutter, and a guillotine cutter.  Not all cigar cutters are easy to use.  V-cutters and punchers require a specific kind of skill.  If you do not want to damage your cigar, you will choose a cigar cutter that does not affect the smoke flow through the cigar.  Most experienced cigar smokers prefer guillotine cutters because they offer an even cut.

If you consider cigar smoking a serious hobby, you should invest in the right accessories.  Reliable smoke stores offer quality smoking accessories at an affordable price.  Select the best cigar lighters, humidors, and cutters, and add to your collection.  Once you invest in the right accessories, you will notice all the difference.

Tips For Choosing The Best Cigar Lighter

For smokers, choosing the right cigar lighter is very important.  If it has a weak flame, you will not be able to get a decent smoke from your cigar.  This is why it is important to find cigar lighters that are made with the best materials.  Otherwise, you might as well buy a Bic from your local grocery store, as inferior cigar lighters are not much better.  Try not to do this to yourself.  Instead, consider investing a little extra money into a specialty lighter.  It is functional and more luxurious than anything else on the market. Why Specialty Lighters are Better

Specialty lighters are perfect for experienced cigar smokers, especially during a night out.  You do not want to ruin your outing trying to light your cigar every five minutes.  Not only is it annoying for you, but it is also troublesome for those accompanying you.  However, if you use traditional cigars you may encounter this problem, as their lighting requires a special technique.  If you are not good with this technique, it may take you awhile before you can initiate a flame.  With specialty lighters, this is not a problem as they are much easier to use.  Their design also ensures a proper burning throughout the whole time you smoke.  As a result, your cigar will maintain both its flame and its taste for very long periods of time.

Still, keep in mind that even among specialty lighters, not everything is the same.  Most smokers realize this, which is why they tend to stick with handheld lighters with torches.  These offer the best flame because they utilize propane or butane for their fuel.  Other lighters might use something different, which results in a weaker flame.  In fact, sometimes these flames are so weak, they actually blow in the wind.  Windproof propane or butane lighters never do this.  Once they are lit, their flame lasts indefinitely.

Of course, even among propane or butane lighters, there are some differences.  Many smokers prefer butane because it burns quickly and maintains a hotter flame.  However, the fuel for butane tends to run out faster.  If this is a problem, you may want to stick with a propane cigar lighter.  The flame will be slightly weaker, but you will not have to refill as often.  This makes propane lighters a great choice when you are in situations where constant refilling would be cumbersome.

As far as purchasing, propane or butane cigar lighters can be found all across the country.  Also, if you would like to personalize your lighter, there are companies that offer engraving services.  Combine this with any unique design the lighter might already have and you will be smoking in style.
